On 7 November 2020 the 17th IPNA ‘Web Master’ webinar has been scheduled to offer pediatricians, as well as adult and pediatric nephrologists, a ‘MedEd’ opportunity to delve into the topic of HUS and atypical HUS. This webinar is part of an ongoing series from IPNA, the International Pediatric Nephrology Association, which focuses on renal education, advocacy, and training. We feel their focus is rather neatly summed up with their organization’s tagline: ‘Great care for Little Kidneys. Everywhere”.
IPNA is committed to facilitating the global exchange of nephrology knowledge and expertise, with the belief that all children deserve health through optimal treatment and care for kidney disease – regardless of their nation or economic level. It is in that same spirit that the aHUS Alliance global action team supports such fine medical education efforts by various organizations around the world.
This IPNA Web Master 17 webinar will feature information of special interest to the aHUS community, such as the presentation by Dr Sidharth Kumar Sethi a pediatric nephrologist (Medanta, The Medicity in India) specializing in kidney transplantation. Dr Sethi will present research on Anti Factor H antibodies, and progress made in the last two decades on ‘Hemolytic Uremic Syndrome in Children’, especially in its management in India and South Asia.
